Frequently Asked Questions

I don't get it! Is it free or does it cost something?

Yes! It's free for you and all of your family and friends to create wish lists. You may also invite as many people as you like to view your list.

However, if you want others to be able to see more than three items on your wish list, you'll need to subscribe. It's only $4.95 per year for an unlimited number of friends and family members to view an unlimited number of items on your list, and we have huge discounts for purchasing subscriptions for entire families.

Still confused? We'll make it simple.

Free $4.95/year
- Put your wish list online.
- Add up to three items to your wish list.
- Share your wish list with any number of other people.
- Invite as many people as you want to create their free wish list.
- View as many peoples' wish lists as you like.
- Add more than three items to your list.

Can I have more than one list?

Well, we'd like to say yes, but right now, the answer is no. But we're working on that one. We understand that you don't want Aunt Elaine to know that you're asking your friends for a pair of fishnet tights.

Can I buy items from your site?

Soon! This is a big request so we're putting all of our mad scientists to the task, but for now we just want to make it easier for families and friends to know exactly what gifts to buy each other. You can add a link to the retailer's website for each list item and it should be pretty easy for your technologically literate loved ones to know what to do from there.

How many people can I invite?

Infinity plus 1. (Wow... you're popular!)

How many items can I add to my list?

Infinity plus 2. (Wow... you're greedy!)

I have family members that don't have e-mail addresses. What about them?

This too is a feature we will be adding shortly. We realize there are children and grandparents that, while they don't have an e-mail address, they would still like to receive gifts on the holidays and special occasions! We will soon have this capability and will post an announcement when it's ready.

I have a unique family situation. Do I have control of who in my family can see my list?

Who doesn't have a unique family situation? This was one of the biggest lessons we learned in our first version of The Registree—that family members need to have control of who can see what on their list. We have completely redesigned The Registree from the ground up to support the addition and removal of any particular combination of friends and family, per person. So your brother can have your sister-in-law's family on his list, but you don't have to have them on your list too. You can have your in-laws instead. But you can each have each other on your respective lists. See, flexible!

What's with the tree?

You know, registry — regis-tree? Like a family tree? That and we really like trees.
